Pred kraj I svetskog rata, desetkovani austrougarski puk se nalazi na
napuštenom salašu, a njegov komandant, pukovnik, uzaludno pokušava da
uspostavi vezu sa višom komandom. Neočekivano, u posetu treba da mu dođe
supruga. Pukovnikovica, umesto da se sretne sa mužem, posmatra propast i
raspadanje bivše monarhije, a to stanje truleži i haosa ogleda se i u
nasilničkom ponašanju njenih pratilaca, dvojice vojnika iz puka njenog
muža.
At the end of the World War I, considerably
destroyed Austro-Hungarian regiment finds itself at the abandoned
farmstead and its commander, the Colonel, tries in vain to make a
connection with the higher command. Unexpectedly, his wife is about to
pay him a visit. The Colonel`s wife, instead of meeting her husband,
watches the disaster and disintegration of the former monarchy; this
state of decaying and chaos is reflected also in the violent behaviour
of her attendants, two soldiers from her husband`s regiment.
